She was an avid genealogist for a number of years. She was from the Brazosport class of 1961 and continued to enjoy her "Clute Girls" group of classmates up until this very day. They were a huge joy in her life. She loved life and though she had numerous health problems, she strived diligently to stay positive and active by reading, bird watching, knitting and crocheting. She loved meeting with her Clute Girls to play dominoes (88's) and complete jig saw puzzles.

She also worked for Brazosport Abstract Title Co. for several years before deciding to join her husband as his secretary and accountant for Art's Sign Service, Inc. where she continued to work until retirement.
