Charles R. Beeson, 84, of Lake Jackson, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Clute, with Pastor John Haynes officiating. Interment will be held at Restwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
Charles R. Beeson was born March 2, 1930 in Grapeland, Texas. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton and Eunice Brunson Beeson; two brothers, Clifton Ray, and Arthur Hill Beeson; and one son, Richard Beeson Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Allen Beeson; children, Connie and husband, Kim Black, Sondra and husband, Mark Dickman, Neal Beeson and wife, Brenda Beeson; grandchildren, Aaron and Amy Black, Julie and husband, Layton Hosford, Troy Dickman and Landon Beeson; and one great grandchild, Emma Black; sisters-in-law, Shirley Parrott, and Joyce Beeson; brother-in-law, Skippy Allen and wife, Caline; and cousin, Luther Ray Durrett, of Crockett, Texas.
Charles served with the U.S. Marines in Korea 1950-1952 worked for HL&P 1952-1954, Dow Chemical 1954-1976. He founded Beeson Electric where he worked until his retirement. After retirement, he worked for Lake Jackson P.D. as a crossing guard.
Chuck enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, and watching old western movies. Chuck was an honest, dependable, hard worker, kind father, and awesome husband.
Pallbearers will be Kim Black, Aaron Black, Mark Dickman, Troy Dickman, Jeff Clark, Hayman Dengler, and James Ringo. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Heiser, Butch Buegeller, Layton Hosford, Jason Ringo, and Danny Beeson.
