Willie Mae Long

Willie Mae Long, 95, long time resident of Clute, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born May 23, 1919 in Conroe, Texas to James Logan and Ida Lorena Raney. She was a member of the Garden Club and a charter member of the Eastern Star in Clute, Texas. Willie Mae was a member of Temple Baptist Church and then the First Baptist Church of Clute.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer E. Long, her parents, and 2 daughters: Doris Murrell and Annette Smith and her husband Bob.

Willie Mae is survived by 2 sons: Jimmy Long and wife Dee of Clute,

Eddie Long and wife Karen of Lindale,

Son-in-law Buddy Murrell of Lake Jackson,

6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2pm Monday, February 2, 2015 at Restwood Cemetery.
