Douglas Oscar Rosenkranz
7/28/1931 - 3/8/2015

Douglas O. Rosenkranz, of Angleton went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 8, 2015. He was born on July 28, 1931 to Rudolph and Theresa Rosenkranz.

Douglas was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #450 for more than 60 years. He was happiest when surrounded by family and grandbabies. He was known for having never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughters, Melinda Rosenkranz, of Lake Jackson, Theresa Burnett (Robyn), of Edna; sons, Pete Rosenkranz (Terri), of Angleton, Jason Rosenkranz, of Lake Jackson; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Mahaffey, of Bastop, TX.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Joe, Sonny and Jimmy Rosenkranz; sisters, Miladi McLure and Annie Harrington.

Visitation will be at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 5 until 8. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow at Restwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Justin Rosenkranz, Joey Burnett, Jeremy Sanders, Lee Wayne Karl, Richard Akers, and Lewis Orlando.

Honorary pallbearers are Steve Harris and Marc Mahaffey.
