Raul Hinz

Raul Hinz 57 of Lake Jackson, Tx passed away surrounded by loved ones, from cancer on April 6, 2015. He was born in Havana Cuba on July 31 1957. He is preceded in death by his father Guillermo Hinz.


He is survived by his wife Melissa Mata-Hinz, his daughter Sage Marie Hinz, his stepdaughter Morgan Mata. Also survived by his mother Antoliana Rueda and her husband Gilberto. His big brother Guillermo Willie Hinz and wife Rose. Niece Melissa Huffman and husband Scott. Nephew BJ Hinz and wife Kristen. Great nephews Scottie and Alec Huffman, and great niece Zoe Hinz. He also leaves behind many family and friends that have grown to love him.


Raul was an amazing husband and a wonderful father. Sage was his best friend. He taught her his love for the outdoors. Fishing, hunting and horses. Raul also loved riding motorcycles.

Raul had a gift of designing one of a kind designs as well as the lost art of hand engraving.


I want to thank Sage for being here with me this last month taking care of her dad. We both have great memories we will both cherish. To IPH hospice, thank you. To our families and friends all of your support and kind words have comforted us. Raul would want us all to live life to the fullest.
