Jose Maria Alvarado, 88, of Brazoria, TX passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at his residence.

Jose was born March 24, 1927, in Brazoria, TX. He was an area resident for over 50 years. He retired from the City of Clute. Upon returning home, he faithfully attended St. Jerome's Catholic Church. His daily routine had to include breakfast at Nena's, the Price is Right, and Monday Night Wrestling. He has 8 children, 34 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, and 73 great great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Jose Jr. (Susie), Salome, Isabel, Robert Sr. (Nena), Jesse Sr. (Caroline), Louie Sr. (Shirley), Rudy and Teresa. Siblings Exquio, Modesta and Silveria.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Manuela, wife Helen of 27 years, sisters Juanita, Dolores, Sara, Enrriqueta, brothers Abel, Basilio, Francisco, and Manuel, and great grandchild Ricky Jr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 6p.m. to 8p.m., with a rosary at 6:45p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 19 at 10:30a.m. at St. Jerome's Catholic Church.

Pallbearers are grandchildren, Raymond, Rudy Sr., Jerry, Robert Jr., Joe Sr., and Louie Jr. Honorary Pallbearer Mario.
