Vera Ann Deal

Vera Ann "Da" Deal, 89, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on December 23, 2015. Vera Ann was born April 18, 1926 in Taylor, Texas to L.A. Tyler and Vera Alice Zieschang Tyler. Vera Ann was a pioneer resident of Lake Jackson, Texas. She was one of the first Lake Jackson residents to graduate from Freeport High School in 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 51 years, Douglas D. Deal.

Vera Ann is survived by two children: Deanna Corry and husband Ralph of Lake Jackson, Cheryl Evans of Lake Jackson, Texas, 1 grandson Joey Evans and wife Sara of Richmond, Texas, 2 great grandchildren: Samantha and Avery Evans; 3 cousins: Loretta Becker, Doris June Wolff, and C.W. Matteck, and her "adopted family" Al and Cherri Baird.

The family will receive friends 2pm until service time 3pm Saturday, January 2, 2016 with Randy Wuensche officiating.

Vera Ann loved cooking, gardening, watching sports, and traveling; but most of all she adored her family, especially Joey.
