Neva Jo Mitchell McConathy, 81, of the Brazosport Area died Jan. 6, 2016 at Brazosport Regional Hospital.

The family will receive friends 11am until service time Sunday at Lakewood Chapel.

Services for Neva will be Noon, Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Neva was born March 1, 1934 in Cameron, Texas. She was a longtime area resident.

She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle McConathy, Sr., mother, Elsie Sholar, father, James Mitchell, 2 brothers Roland and James Mitchell. Neva is survived by 5 children: Deena McConathy Acord and husband Randy; Doyle McConathy, Jr. and wife Darlene, Lori McConathy Moy and husband Russell; Tara McConathy and Heather McConathy; 12 grandchildren:
Heath McWilliams and wife Jessica, Hillary Surovec and husband Ted, Cameron McConathy and wife Casey, Bryan Edmonds and wife Amy, Keaton McConathy, Floyd McConathy, Shawna Hatley and husband Charles, Fabian Reagan, Alexis Seversen and husband Matthew, Colby Acord, Travis Acord, Gina Renteria and husband Hector, 14 great grand children: Drew, Gavin, Hailey, Jada, Raylynn, Charles, Jada, Jayden, Braelin, Mason, Claire, Levi, Tate, and Grace; 2 brothers: Sundance Walker and wife Carol, John Walker and wife Joy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pall bearers will be: Doyle McConathy, Jr., Heath McWilliams, Cameron McConathy, Bryan Edmonds, Keaton McConathy, Charles Hatley, Matthew Seversen and Gavin McWilliams.
