She grew up in Freeport, Texas and went to Brazosport High School. Regina would meet her future husband, Robert Niemeyer, as a freshman in high school there. She loved high school and particularly the drill team. After graduating, in 1973, she enrolled at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. After graduating there in 1976, she came home to join her parents' family business, White's Auto Store. This store would eventually become J-Mac's Home Furnishings, which she and her brother, Ron McFatridge, co-owned for over 40 years until they retired.
Regina and Robert Niemeyer were married on July 17th, 1976, where they enjoyed 49 years
together. They had 2 children, Dwan Niemeyer of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Chad Niemeyer of Houston,
Texas. She also enjoyed her two grandchildren, David and Eva Niemeyer, born to Chad and his wife,
Lauren. She adored them both.
Regina was best known for her devotion to God and family. She never met a stranger and was the most selfless, kindest person you could have known.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marge McFatridge of Lake Jackson, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Niemeyer, and children, Dwan Niemeyer, Chad Niemeyer, his wife, Lauren, and two grandchildren, David and Eva Niemeyer. Also, her brother, Ron McFatridge, his wife, Sue McFatridge of New Braunfels, Texas, niece, Lana McFatridge of Dallas, Texas, and nephew, Michael McFatridge of San Antonio, Texas.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Regina's life at the visitation on Friday, January 24th, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Chapelwood United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 25th, at 10 am, also at Chapelwood United Methodist Church on Willow Drive, in Lake Jackson, Texas.

have such respect I have such respect for, my friend, Regina. She was a leader & a hard worker AND, if necessary, she would call BS on a problem & walk away. Did she ever tell you about her internal BS Meter?!!! Hilarious! Regina was also funny! AND I LOVED shooting the breeze with her...talking about what was going on around us in life... Homecoming floats, the Wacky Pack, & who was KOO KOO in our family this month. It is SO selfish for me to say this but talking to Regina was always just what I needed. She was THAT person to all of us I expect . Love you, Regina...and all the rest of your tribe. Bye for now...save me a place & I 'll see ya later, my friend!

Did you ever have occasion to see Regina Niemeyer work a problem ? She would switch on her laser beam and begin to break it down into manageable pieces and make a plan and organize the people and resources to execute that plan. You could feel that laser beam of hers when you became part of her solution! Regina was a leader. And she led from a place of love...for God and her precious family. I LOVED shooting the breeze with her...talking about what was going on around us in life, Homecoming floats , the Wacky Pack, college...successes and lots of failures. It is SO selfish for me to say this but talking to Regina was always just what I needed. She was THAT person to

Regina was a great person. Went to school with her for years and did business with her both at Whites and their furniture store. Glad I knew her, and I know she will be truly missed.

Regina was a lifelong friend as we spent many, many Sunday mornings at Sunday School in First Freeport Methodist Church. She and Robert made an outstanding couple and raised a great family. My heartfelt condolences go out to Robert and the entire family.

My precious cousin. You were so loved by many. I looked up to you for you gave me inspiration to become as you. My mom, Dolores, loved you so that she named me after you. I remember attending your wedding and thought how beautiful and handsome you and Robert were. I remember your sorority sisters gathering around you on that special day and singing.
After I lost my husband of 35 years, you gave me encouragement. When my mom passed you were fighting your health battles but made sure you notified us to send your condolences.
Such a beautiful person that loved life as everyone should! Family was the true meaning of your love! Your parents, sibling, husband and your precious children and grands were granted the love you endured.
You will always be my special cousin.
Many prayers to the Niemeyer's and extended family. Regina is already missed! Much love!❤️

We celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman, someone who brought light and warmth to everyone she met. She was not only a cherished friend but a constant source of kindness, wisdom, and strength. Her marriage to Rob was a beautiful example of love, partnership, and devotion - a bond that inspired all who knew them.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and joy will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear friend. Your memory will always shine brightly. John Pinion and Family
