I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. English passing. He was such a blessing to my family(Nora Marshall was my grandmother). I remember him and Mrs. English sitting many hours at her table having coffee and pie. Always had a smile and something funny to say. Praying for your family.

Jeanette, Lynette, Dale, I was very sorry to learn of Waiford's passing and my heartfelt sympathy is with you, the grandchildren and the rest of the English family. A very good man who faithfully served God has gone to meet his Maker and we rejoice in that knowledge. I first became acquainted with Waiford in high school when the youth of the Lake Jackson and Freeport churches frequently got together for various activities. I got to know him well when I joined the Brazosport Rotary Club and also, the Lake Jackson church, where I worshipped before moving to Dallas in the early 80's. It was always a pleasure to be around him in the church and in Rotary, and to see him on trips back to Lake Jackson. He was someone I thoroughly enjoyed. He and I always worked side-by-side at the Rotary Shrimp Boil, frying fish along with Dr. Philip Crow, Gene Marcum and Jule Born. I have nothing but good memories of Waiford. He was very much a person you were glad you knew. Waiford - a good Christian man who has passed to his reward. He now enjoys the eternal rest he worked so hard for. God Bless You, Jeanette, Lynette and Dale. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God comfort you. Mark Arrington

Mr. English was a true example of what a real man should be, and an inspiration to others. He was a great Christian, husband, father, and grandfather. It was quite obvious to anyone who knew him how important his family was. It has been my pleasure to know him and his family. A nicer group of people would be difficult to find. God rest his soul, I will miss him. God Bless his family.
