He is survived by: his wife Kathie (Reilly) Rec for 49 years; one daughter, Debbie Rec; two sons, Steve Rec and wife Cindy and Hank Rec and wife Kerry;
9 grandchildren, Samantha, Dennis, Kali Rec, Heather and Brandy Martin, Kenneth, Ashton, Dalton, Brian Moore;
3 great grandchildren, Joshua, Ricky and Camron;
One sister, Janette Blount and husband Kenneth of West Columbia, Texas, two brothers Richard Rec and wife Inge of Taunton, MA, Roger Rec and wife Carol, of Buzzards Bay, MA.;
Several nieces and nephews in Taunton and Texas and his loyal companion "Sadie".
The family request that instead of flowers people can make donations to a local handicap children charities.
Visitation to celebrate Paul's life will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 N. Dixie Drive, Lake Jackson, TX 77566 on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

My deepest condolences to the Paul Rec family. Paul and I worked on shift together for several years at BASF. I know he was proud of "America's Team", the New England Patriots as he would say. He taught me a little French and spoke of his youthful experiences growing up Catholic in Tauton, Mass. I also knew Paul as the "Texas Yankee" his CB handle. He shared many stories of his military service and of his work on the railroad before he came to Texas. But most of all he, spoke with the deepest conviction of the cherished love of his wife, Kathie and of the love of a father for his two sons and daughter. May you rest in peace, Paul & may the Peace of the Lord be with your family. God Bless
